According to Longtian Hospital’s website, it is a “second grade special hospital”. This hospital is a very busy hospital specializing in Ob/Gyn. This is a Chinese-style hospital in areas – from language to bedside manner. They have been known to be preferential of doing C-sections. For natural birth, they have permitted the spouse to be in the delivery room. However, for C-sections they will not permit anyone to accompany.

Longtian is located in the downtown area of Qingdao. Public transportation is plentiful in this area.

American-Sino OB/GYN Hospital is a comfortable smaller-scale hospital focusing specifically on women and children’s care. Their facilities are modern and clean. The doctors and staff are very friendly and accommodating. Some doctors speak English. Usually, though, they are accompanied by an English-speaking nurse.

American-Sino is located inside of the Tibetan Hospital. While it is in a quieter section of town, it can be a bit difficult to find the first time. It is a 7-minute walk to the nearest subway stop on lines 5 & 10, “Huixinxijie Nankou” (???????).

About a 5-minute walk from the hospital is a KFC and Pizza Hut as well as some nice fast food Chinese chain-restaurants.
