Hello! 1year in BJ has almost gone and my husband and I are thinking to enlarge the family since time is running! I have had some preconception tests and vaccinations in Vista Clinic but no OB Gyn visit yet. I know I am far away from pregnancy and its issues but I would like to find a very good and patient OB Gyn who will follow me during this adventure. I don't want to go to someone first and then find another one/place for the delivery… Any suggestion? I am thinking to go to United Family… but I am not sure it could be the right choice. Tx! Wink

I hope that your 1st year in BJ has been a good one.  It's very exciting to begin a family and I hope that you can enjoy the whole experience.  When finding a place for check-ups & deliever at it is important you find a place that you feel most comfortable at.  For each person that is different.  I would suggest to "shop" around.  Being in BJ you have many options to choose from (that can be good & bad – if your like me too many options is over whelming).  United Family is a very good hospital and I know MANY people who have had great experiences there.  It is run very much like a hospital in America (not sure where you are from).  They are very professional but it can be very busy there.  It is also expensive (especially if you don't have insurance).  I had my second child at American-Sino OB/GYN and really enjoyed it.  It is much smaller, more family like and has an American feel to it.  The doctors & nurses are Chinese (but speak English) so it does have a China feel as well as an American.  I was impressed at how much they worked with me and my desires, not pushing any procedures or meds that I did want.  There is one more hospital that is even more Chinese but they do provide a translator, AmCare.  It is located right around the corner from United Family hospital.  I personally know two woman who delivered their babies there and had a great experience but it is a Chinese hosptial so it has the least Western feel of the three.  But this place is most cost friendly.

I would suggest you go to each place and have a tour and see which one best suits you.  If you don't like any of these there are more that you can check out that I haven't mentioned.  Please feel free to ask any more questions that you might have.  Good Luck!!
