I did my prenatal appointments at New Century. Dr. Su is great and can speak English very well. (She formerly worked at American Sino in Shanghai.) Nurses and all other staff don’t speak English, so it might be a bit tough if you don’t speak Chinese. I have had a good experience overall. Costs are much more affordable than UFH (almost half) but know that your waiting time is a bit longer and of course there will be more of a language + cultural barrier.
I have a friend who is facing serious challenges in Beijing she is a student under chinese government ,she realized she was pregnant while in China .The insurance cover does not cover Child birth most of the affordable Hospitals are fully booked yet she is remaining with 2 months to give birth,
Your advise to this stranded student is highly welcome.
