The location is easy to find as it is right off of the Shu Han Lu subway exit (line 2).

Cleanliness is typical for a public Chinese hospital.

They have 3 options for natural childbirth: 1. A shared room for labor, delivery and recovery. 2. A VIP room (1 person room), and 3. A birthing room, a 1 person room where you can labor, deliver and recover all in the same room. This room is designed to allow any number of people to accompany you.

English Level: Dr. Yang’s English is very good. The nurses are mostly limited to Pleco-like translators on phone.

Dr. Yang is one of the most Western-minded doctors I have met in Chengdu. He is very approachable, a very good teacher, and cares about his clients. He is available to answer questions and is very professional. He also has a very good bed-side manner.

Fathers are allowed to accompany their wives into the delivery room for a natural birth (not for a C-section).
