Getting the RhoGam Shot in China

Obtaining RhoGam in China

For the latest info on obtaining RhoGam, please contact havingababyinchina.com administrators.Contact us.

Getting a RhoGam shot in China is no easy task. Even back in 2006, when we had our first baby, the doctor looked at me blankly when I asked about getting the RhoGam shot. With the typical blood types in China and the one-child policy, getting the RhoGam shot is of little priority to most Chinese.

The hospital we’re using for our delivery wasn’t able to provide us with the shot directly, but did give us the contact information of a place that could help.

This is just a quick video showing how it arrived.

If you’re in need of this shot, please contact us and we may be able to help you out.

Nadia Rosales – Isn’t Guangzhou quite close to Hong Kong? You could go there and get the injection there. We are in Shanghai and my wife needs the shot. We are trying to buy it in Kuala Lumpur where we are going during CNY holidays, but they dont seem willing to sell it to take out of the country.

    Hi Jeremy,

I just found your webpage and added you on wechat.

I´m looking for some help in order to get the Rhogam vaccine. I have 34 weeks of pregnancy and live in Guangzhou.

The hospital asked me to get the vaccine by myself but I do not have any idea where I can get it. I’m RH-.

Hope that, based on your experience, I can get any contact from your side.

    Thanks in advance

I might be pregnant with baby number two! And I have O- blood. Where can I get the Rhogam shot? I am also living in China, have been for 6 years I didn’t have the shot with my first baby. But I was told I must have it for baby number 2 please help

Mimi – Unfortunately, the Rhogam shot has been harder and harder to get ahold of. Shortly after we shot this video the rules got even stricter and we can’t get it. Our only advice at this time is go out of country to get it, or have someone bring it in. Even then, the doctors here aren’t allowed to administer the shot. Obviously, this creates a huge problem for people like us. We’ll continue trying to figure this out.

Is it legal to bring rhogam from hk to gz?

        • Jeremy & Jacquelyn Carman says:

The legality of it seems to be with doctors/clinics being able to source it. Bringing meds in, in my experience, hasn’t been a problem. Still, I would not make it super obvious that you are bringing it.
