Guangzhou women and Children's Medical Center was established in September 2006. It is the integration of the former Guangzhou Children's Hospital and Guangzhou MCH Hospital (Guangzhou Maternal and child hospital) . The hospital covers an area of 37425 square meters, construction area of nearly 130,000 square meters. Now the hospital has 3175 staffs, including 431 senior Professional staff , 832 persons with Master's degree or above, 129 persons with Ph. D. and Master's tutor. The hospital is a set of prevention, medical, health care, scientific research, teaching as one of the three Class A women and children's Academy.
On December 3, 2015, Guangzhou Medical Center passed through the grade three Grade hospital A level assessment.
