During my stay in Kunshan (Jiangsu Province), I was going to a hospital there for all prenatal care and tests, it was the only worthy hospital in the city. Brand new, clean, well equipped with European machinery like SIEMENS etc, very cheap – as is a public one – and services were excellent. The only problem was that there is no certain English speaking staff. You may find a person or a few doctors able to speak a little, but since I was not speaking Chinese apart from 20-30 words. All the doctors and staff have been so willing to help me by translating from their mobiles or by finding someone to translate for me – even from patients or other doctors around! That was so touching for me and above all effective. Even staff accompanies you to the doctor or the floor or special room for any test you need to go since they see you are a foreigner. So all went well each time I was there (about 6-7 times I had visited with no problem at all).
This hospital specializes in prenatal care – after birth and pediatrics.
