Hi. Do they deal with fertility related issues? I’m trying to get pregnant but it’s been very difficult.
Hi, do you know if there’s a place to have a water birth in suzhou? or a midwife that you could recommend?
Emily, we’ve called around and weren’t able to find any hospitals in Suzhou that can offer waterbirth, including BenQ. The nearest places would be in Shanghai.
-American-Sino OB/GYN/Pediatrics Services (Shanghai) https://www.havingababyinchina.com/shanghai/american-sino-obgyn-shanghai/
-Shanghai Baijia Maternity Hospital https://www.havingababyinchina.com/shanghai/shanghai-baijia-maternity-hospital/
-Shanghai Changning Maternity and Infant Health Hospital (Public Hospital) https://www.havingababyinchina.com/shanghai/shanghai-changning-maternity-and-infant-health-hospital/
Regarding a midwife, hospitals do have “midwives”, but they may not function the same in China as they do in other places. Can you explain what service you’re hoping a midwife might perform?
Hi Kate and Naomi. I would like to ask about your experience of delivering in BenQ and prenatal tests and analysis.
Thank you.
Dear parents,
I just wanted to share with you our extremely good experience of delivering at BenQ Clinic in Suzhou.
I would like to heartily recommend BenQ Hospital in Suzhou for obstetrics and baby delivery!
We had our baby delivered there on 26/10/2016 by Dr. Cheng and Midwife Ruby. We could not have been more happy and complete from the experience!
Not only Dr. Cheng and Ruby were absolute professionals, but they warmly supported my wife and me throughout the natural delivery of our baby, keeping C-Section only as a last minute alternative. Even when problems got us down, they gave us strength to continue!
As an added bonus, the prices at BenQ Hospital are very reasonable and affordable for people whose health insurance doesn’t cover maternity and the quality of rooms and services are of international level!
For 6 days stay and natural delivery in the VIP room, where I was also present, the total price was ~19.000 RMB, including epidural and some medication (pitocin for induction, some mild sedative for sleep). C- Section is only ~6.000 RMB higher. For all the prenatal screenings and tests we paid an additional total of ~14.000 RMB.
I can gladly give more information to anyone interested!
Have a nice day!
Hi! Do they have appointments on the weekend?
I went here following a missed miscarriage last week- I was so impressed! This was the third hospital I had been to, first I went to American-Sino in Shanghai (terrible… Do not go there!) where I got the drugs to induce the miscarriage as I had no movement after three weeks. They were dreadful and insensitive, also didn’t give me correct prescription so went to local Changshu hospital to get the rest of the drugs. Whilst here our college nurse who I went with recommended Benq in Suzhou for my follow up scan. I went here to check the situation. They were sensitive and profession from start to finish. I went to the VIP section for English speaking doctor but the whole hospital just felt like being back in the UK. Organized, clean and busy. I had a vaginal ultrasound and the lady explained everything as she went on in Chinese but we had a translator with us from the VIP department. Went back to the doctor and he really made me feel as ease. Explained everything and was very sensitive to our situation. I really hope we shall be visiting Benq again with our rainbow baby… No need to go to Shanghai when this place is here!
I’m preparing to give birth here. Below are prices given to me for delivery packages as of March 2016
Delivery packages by VIP room size and delivery type (VD= vaginal delivery, 3 nights, CS= C Section, 6 nights):
VIP Suite (includes dining table, lots of furniture, very spacious): 18,800 VD, 23,800 CS
Large Family Room (includes baby swimming pool and lots of furniture): 17,800 VD, 23,800 CS
Small Family Room (includes baby bath and lots of furniture): 14,800 VD, 20,800 CS
Large Single Room (ample space): 11,800 VD, 16,800 CS
Small Single Room (simple, private): 9,800 VD, 14,800 CS
Thanks for this Kate, it is really helpful information. At what stage of your pregnancy did you go and look around the facility?
Thanks
Hey… wondering how you birthing experience was here? We are pregnant again and have been having check ups here which we are pleased with but would like to know what your final view was?
